Cebu Blogger Society | Technologian

I tried my first attempt to join the Cebu Bloggers Society (CBS) early this year.
But since the online registration on the CBS website has been temporarily disabled, I wasn't able to submit my application. After few weeks, I submitted my application through email. The day after I submitted my application, I dropped a message to my CITE schoolmate - Miong - who happened to be CBS member already. I asked him about the group and told him that I've applied for CBS membership. We've haven't seen each other actually for almost two years, after we both graduated from our previous school. I learned from him that another CITE schoolmate and a friend is the founder of the CBS, and just realized that this guy is really amazing. He's known to me as EUTS.

It was just a coincidence that when I arrived at home from work, I received a message over the yahoo! messenger - whose name is Photoblogger. His real name is John. I was surprised when he told me that he already received my CBS application. What I felt then was an excitement of what is gonna happen next... Well, he said that my application was still on-process and I need to accomplish three things. Though, the first two conditions were just really simple - I was just challenged on the third one. You know why? Because I was asked to meet him in person!... He asked me to go to McDonalds in Jones, and we are going to meet at 12:00NN.

I left at home around 11:15AM then arrived on the said place at exactly 12:00NN. I rushed to the McDonalds to see if John was already there. On the first floor, I haven't seen any guy who was wearing a "Blogger Ko Bai" T-shirts - he actually told me what T-shirts he was going to wear. Then, I went upstairs but still he wasn't there. A few minutes later, I called him asking his location... Well he was actually on his way to McDonalds... I've waited outside for a few minutes while drinking a pineapple juice... Then, he came wearing a black "Blogger Ko Bai" T-shirts. He was a kinda friendly guy, and you know - in our common words: "English Paka"... Yup, he talked to me in English. He is really good in English.

He told me important things about the CBS, and yes - I realized that it has really a lot of fun and challenges in joining such organization... I haven't yet meet with the other bloggers of CBS, but I can already picture out the excitement. Though there are challenges behind, I believe that being a CBS member is one of my achievements as a blogger... Kudos to me!... and I am looking forward for the future activities of CBS...
